Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction
The Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program is an 8 week highly-experiential program in learning how to meditate, as well as how to relate to life’s challenges with less reactivity and more wisdom and clarity. This course was developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn at UMass Medical Center.
Mindful
Self-Compassion
Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is designed to cultivate the skill of self-compassion. Developed with the research and clinical perspectives of Kristin Neff and Chris Germer, MSC teaches core principles and practices that enable participants to respond to difficult emotions with kindness and understanding.
Compassion Cultivation Training
Compassion Cultivation Training (CCT) is designed to develop the qualities of empathy, and compassion for oneself and others. CCT was developed by contemplative scholars and researchers at Stanford University, combines traditional contemplative practices with contemporary psychology and scientific research.
Navigating Life's Challenges
Navigating Life’s Challenges (NLC) is a 5-Day residential adaptation of the empirically-supported 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program. This program is for anyone who would like to learn more effective coping skills that have the potential to lower and change their relationship to stress.
Nature of
Self-Compassion
This offering combines the Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) program with spending time outside kayaking, mindfully moving, and learning about natural history/ecology with experienced wilderness guides and meditation teachers. Based in various stunning locations, participants explore inner and outer resourcing.
College Programs
Mindful Labs offers 4 different formats to bring Mindfulness and Compassion programs to College students for the enhancement of cognitive and academic performance, the management of academic and work-related stress, and/or the cultivation of the "whole person" which include matters of the heart, character, creativity, self-knowledge, openness, and mental flexibility. Programs can also be adapted for faculty/staff.
Workplace Programs
Mindful Labs offers onsite or web-based video conferencing trainings in Mindfulness and Compassion for the Workplace. Offered in various formats, these course teach participants how to cultivate greater awareness to reduce stress, improve focus and concentration, create responses rather than reactions, build resiliency, and live happier, healthier lives.
Mentorship
One-on-one or group mentorship via web-based video conferencing can be a supportive way to begin or sustain your Mindfulness and/or Compassion practice. Mentorship is also seen as a key component of development for new, as well as experienced, teacher. Mindful Labs offers personal mentorship as well as professional development for MBSR and MSC teachers.
